The holiday chore list seems never ending, but one thing is certain, you need to clean your house...and quick! Removing the clutter is the first thing you should tackle. Rooms without excess junk will appear more clean even before you start scrubbing. Set a specific amount of time for cleaning each room, and start with the most important room in your house. The entry way is very important and should be used as a practical space for your guests to leave their coats, shoes, and scarfs (this way your guests won't have to track all the way to your bedroom to leave their unwanted items). Next, it's time to move to the bathrooms. iVillage suggests, "using a microfiber cloth, glass cleaner, toilet cleaner, tub/shower cleaner, and a broom and dustpan for a quick clean in half the time." De cluttering your kitchen is also very important. First, start with the refrigerator. Make sure to empty out all items not needed in your fridge, so that you will have enough room for all of the holiday treats. Removing extra dishes, pots, and pans can also give you more space to work in the kitchen. Holidays can be stressful, but the cleaning doesn't have to be. Just remember to give yourself ample time and plan ahead. Making a list of all of your to-do's can help you create an efficient time-line and alleviate some of your worries. Take a deep breath, and enjoy yourself!
