Make a plain door look expensive with some paint and trim molding. Begin with an interior door, lay it on supports and remove all the hardware. Prepare, prime and paint the door with a base color. Mark and paint the section of the door that is going to be the panel a darker color. Decide what kind of molding you want and what size--narrow or wide or both--and buy it at your local home improvement store. Miter-cut the trim molding or have the store do it for you. Paint all the molding pieces with the base color and then use wood glue and brads to attach the molding. Fill in the nail holes with putty and touch up the paint. When done, you'll have an elegant-looking door that'll look expensive!
