The "Smart Era" has begun with the advent of smart phones, smart tablets and smart appliances. There is a new "Smart Refrigerator" which just got recently launched this year which will allow you to receive inventory updates from an application while you're out shopping with smartphones or tablets. The touchscreen display on the refrigerator door can also give you recipes based on what's cooling on the refrigerator shelves and will also give you other information such as daily schedules and local weather forecasts. You can also use it as a family "memo board" to help you and your family keep up with all your family daily activities. The Smart Refrigerator also comes with a Smart Diagnosis application which will provide diagnostic information to support staff if something goes wrong with the refrigerator which will be a big help when calling in a repair. There are at least three companies in the U.S. launching these types of Smart Refrigerators, which only time will tell if they will become popular or end up forgotten in the technology graveyard.
