Even though gutters play a very important part in the prevention of serious damage to homes, they often go unnoticed. Gutters help prevent serious water damage from occurring to your house and property and help prevent your foundation from cracking and buckling. Most structural damage is a direct result of water damage caused by lack of gutters. Gutters divert water away from the house helping to prevent water infiltration into the foundation. Diverting the water also prevents erosion of the earth right next to and under the foundation which could cause uneven settling and eventually cracking of the foundation walls. Gutters do a very important job, but not everyone knows their importance or necessity.
