By maintaining a precise temperature, it immediately stops heat generation when the cook element is turned off or the cookware is removed. Another plus is that it doesn't heat up your whole kitchen like an open flame does. Only iron or steel cookware can be used. Retail prices for induction cooking stoves range from $1,500 to $4,399.
