(1) Electrical - Having a complete home inspection will help rule out any problems and point out any areas of concern. (2) Foundation - Planting trees for shade to make your home look nice is good but you need to make sure they are the right trees and that they're not going to crack the foundation. (3) Plumbing - Mold forms underneath sinks when people have a leak and they fix the pipe but they don't take care of the mold. (4) Attic - Check the insulation and if the roof is good, you can look right at the wood. (5) Landscaping - There should be a 12 inch barrier between any plants or moisture and the house; otherwise, you run the risk of having the foundation crack which can be bad for the home. If you inspect a house carefully before you buy it, that will help you eliminate out-of-pocket expenses later.
