Summer is here, and along with summer, come many opportunities for hosting outdoor events such as graduation parties, BBQ's, Father's Day, 4th of July, etc. Planning out events ahead of time is key to successful hosting. Your backyard needs to be ready for entertaining before you even decide to have guests over. Just a few quick touches can change the whole atmosphere and get your outdoor space ready for a party. First,  keep in mind what kind of furniture you are going to be use and what is the best way to arrange it. Do you have enough seating or will you need to rent more? Friends and neighbors can also help you out in this situation by lending you chairs and benches. Lighting can never be underestimated.  It helps set the mood and allows you to party well into the night after the sun has gone down. A few jars with candles inside of them on table tops will make excellent center pieces. Even lights hanging from trees can give off ample light and accent your backyard beautifully. Planting flowers and plants can give your landscape a little extra push. Little extras like this will make your outdoor space shine and stand out, which may end up making your backyard the summer hangout.
