Buying a home is one of the most exciting experiences you will face in your life. Of course there is a procedure to follow when buying a home, but most people either forget or don't think they need to do the last step - the final walk-through. Most of us think "why should i? I've already seen the house a few times." The purpose of this final walk-through is so the buyer can make sure the property is turned over in the condition agreed upon in the contract before the transfer. Buyers should make sure no damage was done to the house and that all repairs that were promised have been executed. If the house is still occupied, you should still do a walk-through. You never know what you may find (or find missing). Take the time to verify that everything is as it should be. If you do find something odd about your next home, talk to your realtor. They're always happy to help!
