At Holand & Associates, we like to promptly follow up with other agents that show our listings to their clients. We like to keep our clients informed as to what comments potential buyers make about the home, whether it be good or bad. While it may sometimes be difficult to hear negative feedback about the home you put so much work and love into, there is a silver lining. If you keep hearing the same negative comments time and time again, it might be an issue worth looking into if you are serious about selling your home. Let's say you have outdated cabinets or appliances that people keep commenting negatively about. Maybe people keep commenting on how the backyard is lacking in beauty or the unattractive color of the carpet. The simple truth is that everyone is different, meaning everyone has different tastes. What one person may adore, another may hate. So if you keep hearing potential buyers comment over and over again about a particular feature that needs work or replacing, maybe you should listen. It could be what helps sell your house, or help it sell at a higher price. Feedback from showings can be a great resource if you listen and try not to take it personally. The people are commenting on your home and why it wouldn't work for them, not you.
