You can even go a step further and buy new energy-efficient windows and doors to really control the indoor climate. It's also a good time to fix any leaking pipes rather than chance it freezing and busting amidst your holiday shopping. Little fixes here and there might cost you some money at your local home improvement store now, but save you big bucks in the long-run.
