You've heard it, and I'll say it again. Interest rates are lower than they've been in over 50 years. People who bought before the downturn have much higher interest rates than people buying now. Also, the Texas housing market is more stable than other states. Supply and demand is a little more balanced than in other areas. Home values have not plummeted in Texas as they have in other states. Our economy as a state is more resilient. If you have the desire and the means to buy, now is a great time to take that jump into owning your own home.
