Do you have a patch of yard that just won't grow grass? There may be a creative solution. Artificial turf grass has come a long way. There are more natural looking (and feeling) varieties that can be used as grass substitutes. While natural grass offers environmental benefits such as carbon dioxide intake, turf grass can also help the environment by helping reduce water used on landscaping. Turf grass is not completely maintenance free, but it is definitely very low maintenance compared to a traditional yard. It only needs to rinsed and raked every now and again to keep it looking as close to the real thing as possible. It will always look green, and it does not need to be mowed. Turf grass can save you hours of time used on yard maintenance, and money on equipment such as mowers, weed eaters, and gasoline to power them. It'll save you a small fortune if you pay someone else to maintain your landscaping. The start-up costs might seem more expensive than a traditional grass yard, but the savings will add up in the long-run with an artificial yard.
