With its new high-rise luxury condos, downtown Austin is becoming an attractive choice for those wanting a more urban lifestyle. While it may be smaller than other large cities like New York, it definitely has many of the things you would need within walking or biking distance. The area will also become more sufficient to its residents in the years to come as the downtown population continues to grow. Some of the best places to eat and drink can be found downtown. And for those that love to cook and eat in, there is the exceptional Whole Foods Market. Austin's nightlife precedes itself, but there are also plenty of family-friendly diversions and daytime excitements in and around downtown. Parks and hike/bike trails are also just a few blocks away whenever you have the need for some fresh air and greenery. The downtown lifestyle may not be for everyone, but those who have chosen to live there love it, and it just seems to be getting better.
