If your home is on the market, chances are you have a "For Sale" sign in your front yard. That sign automatically draws attention from passer-bys, whether or not they are actively seeking a new home. Sellers should try to make their house look more than just presentable. You should show off your home's ultimate potential so buyers can envision what it would be like to live there. One thing that seems to slip when a vacant home is on the market is the yard maintenance. It's a real turn off to see an overgrown yard on a home that is for sale. Some will even have grass or bushes growing over the "For Sale" sign. It makes buyers wonder if you took good care of the inside since no one seems to be caring for the outside. It shows a lack of pride that may make buyers cautious. If you have moved out of the home you are trying to sell, either go out there yourself or pay someone to go and mow the yard every now and then to keep it looking attractive. It's a small detail that definitely pays off.
